The Buffalo Trace Land Trust is dedicated to the permanent conservation and responsible stewardship of land in Southern Indiana. Across six counties, we focus on protecting natural habitats, water quality, and scenic landscapes in partnership with landowners. Our science-based, collaborative approach ensures these lands remain available for farming, forestry, outdoor recreation, and conservation. We leverage strategic partnerships and adaptive management, such as the use of prescribed fire, to achieve long-term conservation success. We are committed to safeguarding the region’s natural and agricultural heritage for generations to come.
